Avalanche Food Group Announces Three Charities to Benefit from Annual Bra-Tacular Event

Event has raised over $85,000 over the past two years and is expected to have record numbers in 2015!
HOUSTON - Oct. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The Avalanche Food Group (AFG) has chosen three Houston-based charities to benefit from its annual Bra-Tacular event hosted at each of its seven Twin Peaks restaurant locations.

The Bra-Tacular event has raised over $85,000 over the past two years, helping hundreds of women across the state of Houston receive free mammograms and covering the costs of necessary treatment.

This year, charities wrote in or sent a video to explain why their charity should be picked to benefit from this event. The chosen charities include, The Rose Foundation, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Breast Health Collaborative of Texas.

The events will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the month of October, and draws participation from over 100 Twin Peaks Girls. Each Twin Peaks Girl has the opportunity to create and design her own bra to be auctioned off for charity.

“Every year this event continues to grow and our team is really excited to be able to reach out to multiple foundations in the Houston area to continue to help more people,” said Ricky Rosa, COO of Avalanche Food Group. “The girls actually create and design all of their own costumes and it’s been a big hit. Most of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, so having our staff participate in this event as a team is really fun and is a great outlet for us to do our part to assist in the communities that we have restaurants in.”

AFG owns seven Twin Peaks locations that will host auctions for the Bra-Tacular event, including its restaurants on Webster (Oct. 6), Kirby (Oct. 7), Hwy 290 (Oct. 13), Kirkwood (Oct. 14), Shenandoah (Oct. 20), Corpus Christi, supporting the Making Strides Agast Breast Cancer (Oct. 21) and Indianapolis supporting the I.W.I.N. Foundation (Oct. 27).

The Rosa brothers, John, Joe and Ricky, founders of Avalanche Food Group, are looking forward to expanding the Twin Peaks Brand and expanding into new cities across the state of Texas and nationally.

Twin Peaks currently has 71 locations nationally with plans for an additional 15 locations before the end of the year.
