Blake Moore and Bond launch Canadian authored new Sci-fi title in Japan
HAMILTON, Ontario - Feb. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Blake Moore and Bond would like to announce the spectacular and successful launch in Japan of Across The Realm, written by Isobel Mitton, their newest author from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Both Isobel and Across The Realm were received with extreme gusto at the 2016 Winter Akiba Daisuki Matsuri (http://akiba-df.com/) festival in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan, the heart of all Japanese science fiction authorship and creativity.

The phenomenal reception of Across The Realm made it an instant hit in a land where foreign titles are often challenged! With Across The Realm, Isobel Mitton is now the first black female Canadian Sci-fi writer to make successful inroads into Japan. The Akihabara festival also gave Isobel (http://bit.ly/1LOt9E6) the opportunity to meet prominent Japanese social media personalities such as Yuri Nakagawa, a Japanese fashion model, public figure and official blogger for the JFW international fashion exhibition (http://goo.gl/EanJ1h); Aiko Sensei, a top Japanese stylist and fashion influencer (http://bit.ly/21tRJXj); as well as Junichiro Sato, a prominent brand director and social media personality (http://bit.ly/1TgkySE). It was also the debut of the Askari girls (http://bit.ly/1RdGhEt) who have a prominent social media following in Japan.

The creativity on show was mind boggling, including the largest virtual reality festival outside of the United States. Isobel was totally taken by the creativity on display, the artistry and passion placed into the characters along with the massive enthusiasm of the Japanese! To quote Isobel, “As a creative I am so touched by how for the Japanese, art makes them free, and these people are invested in art more than any other people I have come across and it’s not surprising they were first artists before they were warriors!” Isobel returned home on the Friday, 26th February with a request for 20 more books in the ATR series and a statement by the Japanese representative that they wanted a long running series for their burgeoning audiences.

Over the weekend of the festival Across The Realm was introduced to over 70,000 new fans, putting it on par with local Japanese Sci-fi titles. With such a phenomenal exposure and following, Blake Moore and Bond anticipate that the August release of the translated version of Across The Realm will likely gross well over 840 million yen or $10 million CAD in book sales alone, opening the way for further merchandising and licensing deals, unprecedented in Japan.

Blake Moore and Bond is a digital publishing and transmedia entertainment company based in London.
