On the evening of Friday, July 15, Turkey experienced a coup attempt by some members of the nation’s military. It started with tanks rolling onto the streets in the capital city, Ankara, as well as Istanbul, the country’s most populous city. Uniformed officers blocked bridges and restricted traffic.
