Hedge fund Barington hires Moss from Optima to head marketing

BOSTON, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Activist hedge fund Barington Capital has hired a new executive to spearhead marketing and investor relations at a time when the fund is putting up strong numbers but as investors' taste for portfolio managers who push for corporate change has ebbed.
