RIVERSIDE, CA – 20 Mar, 2017 – EnerBlü, Inc. an advanced, high power, energy storage solution company headquartered in Riverside, California announced today that it has acquired Mid-Atlantic photovoltaic solar developer DC Solar.  With the acquisition of DC Solar, EnerBlü also announced that it is launching EnerBlü Grid Services, Inc. (“EGS”), with offices in the Washington DC Metro area as a key step towards growth into residential, commercial and small grid based solar and energy storage systems.

EnerBlü Grid Services new President, Anthony Anello previously with SunEdison, Solyndra, Q-Cells and Sun-op brings over 15 years of grid power delivery and development experience to the utility, commercial/ industrial and residential markets. Mr. Anello has deep experience in the renewable energy industry with 550MW utility scale plants 100’s of rooftop commercial/industrial systems and 1000’s of residential systems while overseeing all phases of deployment from Origination, Sales, EPC, Commissioning through to asset operations and maintenance. Mr. Anello will be heading up this new strategic East Coast office for EnerBlü as EnerBlü also continues to move forward with the commercialization of a number of EnerBlü products including its state-of-the-art electric generator hybridization unit (AESU series) and a grid optimization unit featuring a unique DC / DC energy management system for increased efficiency and lower installation cost, turning any commercial and small grid based solar system into a dispatchable power generating plant.  “It’s with great enthusiasm DC Solar has been provided the opportunity to become part of the EnerBlü team of Companies. The chance to expand our offering into storage and to participate in the development of the Grid Services business vertical in EnerBlü, it’s an exciting time in the development of Grid Services in the United States. EnerBlü Grid Services (EGS) will not only provide best in class service, systems and pricing to the market place but will lead the effort to define the market for the future” Mr. Anello Said.

The Mid-Atlantic region is a major vital energy center and represents a large growth market for solar and grid-scale energy storage, with almost every major contender in the industry seeking a stake in the region’s lucrative fast-response frequency regulation market.   Mid-Atlantic grid operator PJM was the first independent system operator to offer higher payments for fast-responding assets, such as PV with energy storage or quick-acting load control systems, which provides major opportunities for EnerBlü’s high power energy solutions.

Ben Rainwater, EnerBlü’s Chief Operating Officer said regarding the expansion of EnerBlü companies now operating on both the West Coast and East Coast,  “We are very excited about this acquisition and the significant East Coast presence and market growth the EGS team represents, which further supports our commitment to having strong regional operations as we also diversify our revenue stream and improve profitability.”

EnerBlü has developed a safe, highly reliable, extremely long lifespan, lower cost, next generation ultra high power LTO battery chemistry and cell format.  Pairing its lower cost battery with a series of transformative technologies, EnerBlü’s strategy is to focus on creating value for distributed energy, vehicle transportation and heavy equipment sectors where the combined technologies deliver obvious advantages to end-users.
