AE Biofuels, Inc., (OTCBB:AEBF), an advanced energy company developing and operating biodiesel and next-generation ethanol facilities worldwide, announced today Mr. Harold (Hal) Sorgenti has been appointed to the AE Biofuels Board of Directors.

Since 1998, Mr. Sorgenti has been the principal of Sorgenti Investment Partners, a company engaged in pursuing chemical investment opportunities. Prior to forming Sorgenti Investment Partners, Mr. Sorgenti had a distinguished career that included the position of president and CEO of ARCO Chemical Company from 1979 to 1991. During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Sorgenti led ARCO Chemical’s initial public offering in 1987.
Mr. Sorgenti is a member of the board of directors of Philadelphia Facilities Management Company, and previously served on the boards of Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company and Crown Holdings. Mr. Sorgenti received a BS in Chemical Engineering from City College of New York and an MS in Chemical Engineering from the Ohio State University.
