Report: AIG Accelerating Efforts to Turn Alico Into Separate Entity

American International Group (AIG) is ramping up efforts to spin off American Life Insurance Co., or Alico, as an independent company with a separate board and management group from AIG, according to a Wall Street Journal report published late Wednesday.
