Markets flat as investors await Fed minutes

The markets traded near the flatline during the midday with the Dow slipping 14 points to 18,297 as investors awaited the release of Federal Reserve meeting minutes. Nasdaq eased a fraction to 5,069.

On the upside

AVEO Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: AVEO) will present results from a Phase 3 TIVO-1 study of tivozanib to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma at the 2015 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting.

Cablevision Systems (NYSE: CVC) sued Verizon alleging that Verizon falsely advertised that it uses 100% fiber optics.

Black Knight Financial Services (NYSE: BKFS) priced its public offering of 18 million common shares at $24.50 per share.

On the downside

EVINE Live (Nasdaq: EVLV) fell to a loss for the first quarter as revenue slipped.

Profit taking weighed down shares of Giga-tronics (Nasdaq: GIGA).

Shares of Eleven Biotherapeutics (Nasdaq: EBIO) continued falling.

In the broad market, declining issues were on par with advancers on the NYSE while decliners edged out advancers by nearly 5 to 4 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 eased a point to 2126. Bitcoin added $1 to $234.
