Stock futures signal higher open for Wall Street

U.S. stock-index futures trade higher as investors welcome a more upbeat assessment of the U.S. economy by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke at the end of last week and weigh the weekend damage wrought by Hurricane Irene on the East Coast.
