Bedtime Story: Mattress Firm IPO's Q1 Profit Springs
Mattress store chain Mattress Firm Holding (MFRM) surged past forecasts, citing growing brand awareness, and a pent-up demand among austerity-weary customers. The company said it earned 56 cents per share in the fourth quarter, from a 7-cent loss a year ago. Analysts had forecast earnings of 19 cents, stripping out one-time and special items.
