The fan, Dylan Masone, admitted that Twitter prompted the stunt. While live-tweeting from the stadium, Masone bet his followers that he would run across the field if he got 1000 retweets. In a matter of minutes, Masone's retweets climbed above 1000 and he ran onto the field to show his Twitter friends that he was serious.
