Maker Faire Rome press conference is happening soon

PRLog - Sep. 4, 2014 - ROMA, Italy -- You should get ready for The lnnovation Week, a week of discussions, meetings and forums dedicated to the new frontiers of the digital revolution. It will change Rome's cultural landscape for a whole week, from September 27 to October 5, starting with Maker Faire Rome press conference at Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome on September 5.

The Innovation Week is promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome and organized by Special Agency Asset-Camera. The event will mainly focus on open hardware, open data, social innovation, the Internet of Things and – of course – hundreds of makers.

You know, the second edition of Maker Faire Rome will take place in Auditorium Parco della Musica from October 3 to 5. Intel is the main sponsor, along with many other big companies participating in the event (Eni, Unidata, Vodafone, Atmel, Autodesk, Ultimaker, MathWorks and Texas Instruments). The event's official hashtag is #MFR14.

Moreover, Maker Faire Rome will be celebrated with the “Let’s Make (A Better World)” Opening Conference on October 2 – registration is free of charge on Eventbrite – which includes many keynote speakers, such as writer and activist Cory Doctorow, astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, cyborg artist Neil Harbisson and RepRap 3D-printer inventor Adrian Bowyer.

Maker Faire Rome itself will be displaying over 500 amazing inventions from 33 Countries, offering  workshops for kids in a 2000 square meters dedicated area.
