Gubbio, Italy – Jan 26, 2015 – Erica Ortu and her family recently purchased a small organic farm in the heart of Italy. This fruitful farm, OcaBlue, is located in the lovely San Francesco. They have done a few renovations to transform this simple farm to grow organic crops that offer hospitality and food services to guests who come visit. However, there is still a lot more work that needs to be done to finish renovations. They created an IndieGoGo campaign to finish renovations and help make this dream of theirs a reality.
As of right now, the Ortu family has finished renovations of an old outbuilding. They turned this into a restaurant that is active. At the restaurant, they prepare delicious Italian dishes and other delectable specialties from around the world. All the authentic recipes used were learned from the families’ travels around the world. This unique restaurant organizes many fun themed dinners for guests that are enjoyable for all friends and families. They only use fresh organic ingredients that come from their farm or local farms.
The family also produces jams, fruit compote, and wrap organic cereals with the fruits they grow on the farm, which are sold to locals and guests who come to visit. They also expanded an ancient olive tree grove that will produce great smelling oils in the next few years. These oils will also be sold. A portion of the old farmhouse has been restored. The foundation was consolidated and one room was restored. They hope to grow this farm so that it will produce an abundance of organic fruits like grapevines, berries, fruit trees, and so much more. There will also be farm animals.
Now to completely restore the farm to its original beauty with comfortable guest rooms that will be available to guests, they need help from supporters. Funds from the campaign will go towards refurnishing three guests rooms, create a technical compartment for policombustion boilers, restore the park area and the old stables. The boiler will be used to burn wood, waste of pruning, and olive production scraps to keep the farm running. They plan to add a lovely garden, relaxing common space, pool, sauna, and kids area to make sure the place accommodates guests. The old stables will be used to develop other rooms in the future.
Backers can choose from a number of attractive perks as a thank you for their contribution. The perks range from gift cards, a free dinner at their restaurant, all inclusive weekend for two at Ocablu with a guided tour of Gubbio, and so much more. There is also an amazing perk that includes an all inclusive stay on their farm. The campaign is to reach £260,000 and needs to be met by March 13, 2015.
Help a family realize their dreams. They want to go back to their roots and be one with nature again. Not only do they want to build a farm for their families, but they also want to share it with the rest of the world. The family also hopes to teach guests how to interact with farm animals and understand how to farm, along with opening their home to travelers who come to visit San Francesco.
