Steel and mining stocks climb

Investors snapped up shares of AK Steel Holding (NYSE: AKS), Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: CLF) and United States Steel Corp. (NYSE: X) after Goldman Sachs said that commodity prices are expected to rise. AK Steel stock gained 86 cents to close at $8.89 while Cliffs Natural Resources stock climbed $1.10 to close at $8.64. Shares of US Steel surged $3.43 to close at $32.21.
