France Biotech Launches: "BIOWEB SEED-DATING", a Monthly Meeting for Life Science Start-Ups, Investors and Business Angels in Web Conference

France Biotech, the French association for life science entrepreneurs (www.france-biotech.org) has announced a brand new online initiative to encourage seed financing for life science start-ups: “BIOWEB SEED-DATING”. This monthly meeting will take place on the first Thursday of each month during a web conference - https://france-biotech.webex.com - from 6 pm to 7.30 pm and underlines France Biotech's commitment to help its young member companies in their search for financing. These meetings are dedicated to setting up initial contacts between life science start-ups and investors (business angels and financial community).

Philippe Pouletty MD, Chairman of France Biotech, commented “Even though the France's wealth tax reform has stimulated business angels and innovation-focused investment funds, seed funding is still difficult - so arranging the first “flirt” between entrepreneurs and investors is essential for the success of biotechnology companies!”

This brand new " BIOWEB SEED-DATING" initiative is open to young, innovative life science companies members of France Biotech; giving priority to the companies that are less than five years old, and have raised less than €1million. During a "BIOWEB SEED-DATING" session, five entrepreneurs will have 10 minutes to introduce themselves in live - presentations online and by phone - and investors will be able to ask questions. Investors will then be free to directly contact the companies they are interest in to set-up one-to-one sessions. Following the introduction, each company presentation will be available on France Biotech's website to maximize exposure and contacts.
