The independent consumer organization announces its top picks for the best toys of the year for kids 5 & up. "We found a rich mix of products that include both innovative high tech toys (roaring dinosaurs and night vision goggles) and classics with a twist," notes co-founder Stephanie Oppenheim. "Some of our testers' favorites were toys that made a parent-child connection whether it was a family game or a construction set to work on together. Co-founder Joanne Oppenheim points out: "While prices are up on average 15% from last year, we still found a wide variety of outstanding products for every budget."
