Landau Jewelry Store Chain Launches Moissanite Fine Jewelry Category

The world’s largest chain of accessory boutiques will feature moissanite fine jewelry in its stores for the critical holiday season.

The Hyman Companies, Inc. operates under the trade name Landau and has 95 stores worldwide. The chain was founded in 1987 and will feature moissanite jewelry in select locations throughout the country.

“It’s the right time to re-introduce the moissanite category to our customers,” said Nat Hyman, president of Hyman Companies. “Today’s retail environment is challenging. We need to deliver high quality products with a value that cost-conscious consumers can appreciate. For us, the proven answer is moissanite.”

Strong consumer demand and past success with the category led the Allentown, Pennsylvania based Hyman Companies to reconnect with moissanite. In stores now, customers are discovering classic moissanite designs in 14K gold settings featuring big, bold looks ideally suited to the moissanite jewel.

Landau boutiques are located in exclusive shopping venues throughout the United States and the world and compete favorably with such retailers as Armani, Bulgari, Prada, Hermes and Tiffany. Offerings include exquisite costume jewelry, hand-jeweled minaudieres, crocodile and Italian leather handbags, fine silk scarves and belts.

Unique among many retailers, Landau offers a 100% lifetime guarantee on the fine jewelry it sells.

“We are extremely pleased that moissanite fine jewelry is once again sold through Landau, particularly given the past success of the category in its stores,” said Dennis Reed, president and chief marketing officer for Charles & Colvard. “Landau’s upscale retail locations, coupled with a talented sales staff that understands the sales potential, is a winning combination. Moissanite is the right jewel for these changing times, and Landau clearly recognizes the potential, as do we.”

Cherished worldwide and acclaimed for having nearly 2 ½ times the fire of diamond and 10% more brilliance, Moissanite created by Charles & Colvard® is as beautiful as it is tough. Extremely resistant to scratching and abrasion, moissanite is second only to diamond in hardness, and harder than sapphire, ruby, and emerald.

Landau Direct, Landau Costume Jeweler, Landau, NLH Jewels and Boccelli are owned and operated by The Hyman Companies, Inc. Corporate headquarters, distribution center and warehouses are located in Allentown, PA.
