AAR (NYSE: AIR) reported higher first quarter earnings but the results fell short of analyst expectations.
Wunderlich Securities downgraded American Superconductor (Nasdaq: AMSC) to a Hold rating and slashed the price target to $6 from $12.
In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of 10 to 9 on the NYSE and by more than 10 to 9 on Nasdaq. The Russell 2000 which tracks small cap stocks edged up a fraction to 714.
