West Branch Angler Hosts “Come Hell or High Water” a Fly Fishing Expo and Film Festival Hancock, NY, 4/14— "Come Hell or High Water" in it's 3rd year is an annual fly fishing festival and film tour hosted at West Branch Angler. The idea is to bring new people into the sport, celebrate the Catskills, the beginning of spring and a new fly fishing season. We have been working closely with the major fly fishing manufacturers and local business's to bring something for everyone. The expo is free to the public and an event you won’t want to miss. This is years efforts will benefit Project Healing Water, Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR) and Trout Unlimited.

The Fly Fishing Film Tour F3T: In just it's 6th year, The Fly Fishing Film Tour has become the fishing entertainment event of the year and will showcase some of the best independent outdoor film makers. The goal of the Fly Fishing Film Tour is to energize the industry and inspire film makers to create new cutting edge films to both entertain and educate outdoor enthusiasts. The 1st Annual Fly Games & East Coast Guide Showdown: Brand new to Hell or High Water this year are the 1st annual "Fly Games". The Fly Games are a series of events which will pin competitors against each other in games of fly fishing skill. Events such as the RIO Gold Sage One Marathon will have a general public and pro guide league. Contestants will receive great prizes as well as a chance at the coveted gold trout trophy for 1st place.
Weamer’s Truform Mayflies: Paul Weamer will be putting on a terrific PowerPoint presentation where he will explain and demonstrate the use of his Truform Hook design. He will also go over tying a few of his favorite patterns.
Free Hardy Reel Maintenance: John Shaner of Hardy USA and resident Hardy expert will be set up at the fly shop with a work-bench where he can clean and lubricate reels as well as answer any questions regarding the history of Hardy products.
Delaware River Mayfies: Resident West Branch Angler guide and photo expert will present his wonderful photographic overview of the different major mayfly species associated with the Delaware River System. This is a presentation for all skill levels and one not to miss!!
