WizIQ CEO, Harman Singh, on Thursday issued a statement saying that WizIQ does not sell HIPAA compliant services. WizIQ has been funded by Educomp Solutions Ltd., Kaizen, an Indian private equity fund and German-based global media company, Bertelsmann.
This statement is in response to Supremus Group LLC, the HIPAA certification issuing company, alleging that WizIQ had provided a fake HIPAA compliance certificate.

The fake HIPAA compliance certificate was issued by three sales representatives employed by the Company, who acted independently without the consent or knowledge of the Company’s senior management. The three employees, committed this act in order to gain incentives from the Company, following unauthorized negotiations with a customer.
The three employees are no longer employed by WizIQ as of date.
Though the Company’s senior management was not involved, the Company takes moral responsibility for the actions of its ex-employees and apologizes unreservedly. The Company has already shared the above mentioned facts with Supremus Group LLC, the HIPAA certification issuing company. All necessary controls and measures are being put in place so that such instances are not repeated again. WizIQ has strong corporate values of ethical behavior and integrity, and any misconduct is severely punished.
