SommSelect To Donate 100% of Net Proceeds To Napa Earthquake Victims

SommSelect, a website co-founded by Ian Cauble and Brandon Carneiro to give wine lovers access to bottles that are vetted by a Master Sommelier, is donating 100 percent of net profits to aid families and businesses affected by the Napa earthquake. For seven days—from Sept. 1-7—the SommSelect online store is featuring only Napa Valley wines and will give all proceeds to the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund.

“The idea started with a tweet we posted right after the quake, suggesting that maybe we should all #drinknapawine to support the relief efforts,” said Ian Cauble, Master Sommelier and co-founder of SommSelect. “We decided to act on that comment and devote an entire week to offering wines from Napa Valley wineries, and sending all of the proceeds to the Disaster Relief Fund so they can continue to help local families.”

“Having been born and raised in Napa, this is my hometown and these are my neighbors, friends and family who have been affected by this earthquake,” said Brandon Carneiro, co-founder of SommSelect. “Our week-long benefit is our way that we can give back to a place so near and dear to us.”
