Taco Gigante Returns to Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, paired this Year with Something Sweet - Dessert Gigante

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is bringing back the legendary Taco Gigante just in time to celebrate National Taco Day. To make the celebration even bigger, Margaritas is introducing the Dessert Gigante. The restaurant, known for its authentic flavors, colorful décor and sense of humor, is giving guests four weeks to enjoy the mammoth duo and will celebrate National Taco Day with a special bash on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The two-pound goliath is hand-crafted, made-to-order and presented in distinctive tongue-and-cheek Margaritas style. The Taco Gigante is made with a crispy 12-inch tortilla shell and comes stuffed with lettuce, refried beans, Mexican rice, seasoned chicken, taco beef, pork carnitas, bacon, salsa fresca, cheese and queso sauce. Topped with crema, pickled jalapenos, picante and hacienda sauce, the $10.99 gargantua is worthy of its title.

No slouch itself, the Dessert Gigante is as massive as its counterpart. It's Margaritas’ classic Fried Ice Cream with an entourage of fresh, pillowy Sopapillas tossed in cinnamon and sugar. Then, the whole concoction is drizzled with chocolate and honey, topped with a giant dollop of whipped cream and a cherry on top. All this for just $9.99.

“Last year’s Taco Gigante promotion was such a hit that we knew we had to do something a little extra special this year,” said company President Hugo Marin. “The Dessert Gigante is the perfect complement to the Taco Gigante and will only add to the grandeur of our National Taco Day celebration.”

As if that weren’t big enough, Margaritas will be handing out prizes and giveaways to guests who dare to take on the Gigante meal on National Taco Day on Friday, Oct. 4.

Along with these Gigante additions, Margaritas is launching a new limited-time offer menu, Nuevos Platos (New Dishes), featuring Habanero Honey Chicken Fajita, Bacon Guacamole and Mexican Corn Cakes. The menu also includes a Pumpkin Sangria and Apple Cinnamon Margarita for a crisp autumn twist.

Margaritas is also encouraging fans to share their experience via Instagram by tagging photos with #MargsGigante. For more information on Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, visit www.margs.com.
