The theme of this year’s showcase is Inter.Play, and Charles Koll Jewelers plans to unveil a complete new display incorporating this dynamic theme. The annual Art San Diego event is coming up on November 6-9, 2014.
Inspired by this year’s theme centered on the interplay of nature and technology, classic and modern, and old and new, the custom jeweler plans to unveil a complex pendant during the contemporary art show. The pendant will feature moving mechanical gears and elaborate changing moon phases, symbolizing the interplay between the tides and the moon, as the shifting colors and appearance of the pendant will also interplay with the wearer’s varied movement. Organizers for the display state that this pendant is just the beginning of what’s in store for art show visitors.
The premier custom jeweler also announces plans to uncover its new Steam Punk collection at this year’s show. Featuring the never before seen cypher, a creation combining nature’s beauties with elaborate gold and jewel crafting, this new collection aims to impress visitors both familiar and unfamiliar with Charles Koll Jewelers and their kind of quality custom Jewelry San Diego demands. This new work implements the small, intricate bodies of insects with golden bodies and ruby eyes. The cypher will make its very first public appearance at the upcoming Art San Diego 2014. Visitors will be able to view the entire Steam Punk collection.
Charles Koll Jewelers also promises to keep visitors to its Art San Diego display engaged and occupied this year. Several fully-equipped display cases will show off the company’s complete bridal, colored gemstone, and even specialty collections. In addition, the jeweler’s booth will offer live jewelry design along with live goldsmithing. The Charles Koll exhibition also aims to provide an interactive technology display showcasing how the company makes wearable art through innovative methods like 3D printing, prototyping, and casting.
