Fitbit to buy Pebble smartwatch company for $40M

Andrew V. Pestano REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Fitbit, the troubled leader in wearable fitness technology, has bought smartwatch company Pebble Technology for up to $40 million.
