On the downside
Morgan Stanley downgraded Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC) from an Overweight rating to an Equal Weight rating.
Axalta Coating System (NYSE: AXTA) lowered its full year earnings and revenue outlook.
Shares of Sprint (NYSE: S) fell for the fifth day.
In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of nearly 5 to 2 on the NYSE and by more than 9 to 5 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 rose 5 points to 2,549. Bitcoin slipped $5 to $4,797.
