Costco profit drops while Family Dollar net climbs

Wholesale club chain Costco Wholesale Corp. said Wednesday that its fiscal fourth quarter profit declined 6% on slowing demand in the U.S. and higher employee benefit costs, while discounter Family Dollar Stores reported a 13% profit rise.
