Short sellers sharply increased their bets against two of the most widely followed stocks in the U.S.. Shares sold short in Citigroup (NYSE:C) leaped 36% to 381 million. The short interest in Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)  rose 34% to 15.6 million.
