Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) was lowered to neutral from outperform by R.W. Baird, with the broker expecting further share gains from devices using Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android system and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone. First-quarter shipments were light, the broker added. "New Blackberry devices should help, but we increasingly fear it may be too little too late to turn the tide in the U.S. Despite what appears to be an attractive valuation level, we expect competitive concerns to continue to overhang the shares," the broker said. -MarketWatch Senate negotiators working on the financial-regulatory bill today rejected a proposal from House Republicans that would make big banks liable for the costs of winding down Fannie Mae (NYSE:FNM) and Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE) .
