Textbook rentals save college students money

Students at four-year colleges spend just over $1,100 a year on textbooks on average, the College Board reports, a 32% hike from five years ago. Often these books won't be needed after a semester, and while keeping the book doesn't make sense, selling it isn't always a viable option.
