Initiating National Certification Program to Meet the Needs of the Public and Military Personnel Returning Home from War.

PRLog - Jun 01, 2013 - NEW YORK -- The Anger Guy Institute, founded by Evan Katz, M.C., LPC, MAC, announced today a comprehensive initiative to combat anger in America and for the Armed Forces; specifically those returning home from war.  Katz and his organization are offering anger management training and certification throughout the country to addiction professionals, counselors and all those in the helping professions. The Institute also aims to educate the public on how to spot and deal with serious anger problems in themselves and others.

Evan Katz, a.k.a. “The Anger Guy” and author of Inside the Mind of an Angry Man, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor and frequent speaker and trainer. Katz is also a veteran; awarded the Air Force Achievement medal in 1985.  He has been featured as a keynote speaker and seminar provider, and has been published in several magazines, including Men’s Health.

Live TV Show Appearance

On June 3rd, 2013 Evan Katz is appearing live in New York City on Coach World TV, hosted by Laurie Lawson, past president of the International Coaches Federation (New York City chapter).

Stemming the Anger Epidemic

"It’s gotten to the point in our society where we have a real anger epidemic on our hands, and no one is doing anything about it,” said Katz, an anger management expert. “I can no longer sit back and listen to the political rhetoric.  It’s time to break anger’s grip on America.”  Katz states, “I’m on a mission to train an army of helping professionals that will work with Americans needing help with their anger; and special training designed to help our soldiers returning home from war. They must be made a priority."

The goal of training and certification is to equip helping professionals with the tools they need to help people resolve their anger and help others protect themselves from it.  At the same time, this nationwide initiative creates a solution to the ever-growing anger epidemic in our society, which is a real problem among the thousands of soldiers returning home from war with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Katz continued, “By training and certifying coaches, counselors and other helping professionals, we create an incredible opportunity to make a real difference; becoming a major part of the solution against the chronic anger problem in our country.”
