Activision Seeks Independence From Vivendi In $8.17 Billion Buyout

Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ: ATVI ), the company behind Call of Duty, Skylanders and the ill-fated Guitar Hero franchise, is seeking independence from Vivendi (OTC: VIVHY ).
