Anniversary Promotion Announced for SKYPASS Visa Card

U.S. Bank and Korean Air, issuers of the popular, mileage-earning SKYPASS Visa card, are offering 30,000 Bonus Miles, the highest offer for new customers in the history of the program, after the customer’s first purchase on new SKYPASS Visa® Signature and SKYPASS Visa® Business card accounts. The special promotion is in honor of the 30th anniversary of Korean Air’s SKYPASS frequent-flyer program.

SKYPASS miles are redeemed for award travel flights and upgrades with Korean Air and its SkyTeam partner airlines. The SkyTeam alliance includes airlines such as Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Delta Air Lines.

“In celebrating the SKYPASS program’s milestone, new applicants of the SKYPASS Visa Signature card or SKYPASS Visa Business card are offered 30,000 Bonus Miles upon their first card purchase,” said John Jackson, Korean Air vice president of marketing for the Americas. “The 30th anniversary promotion is for a limited time, as customers must apply by May 31, 2014, in order to receive the offer.”

“If you have not yet become a SKYPASS Visa cardmember, now may be the best time to do so,” Korean Air vice president Jackson said. “The 30,000 Bonus Mile signing offer is an extraordinary proposition, and it will likely be a long time before it comes again – if ever. I hope no one misses this opportunity to join.”
