The Royal Thai Army has been ordered to assist people affected by Monday night 6.3 magnitude earthquake centered in the Phan district of Chiang Rai as well as the scores of aftershocks.
The 3rd Region of the Royal Thai Army would send soldiers to work with other agencies in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Lamphun, and Phitsanulok to inspect the damage and provide assistance, according to the Royal Thai Army’s deputy spokesman, Colonel Winchai Suwaree.
