UPDATE 1-Italy-Russia submarine project faces delay

MOSCOW, July 25 (Reuters) - An Italian-Russian project to build a new generation small submarine has been delayed but comments attributed to a senior Russian official that the Ukraine crisis was behind the move were denied by a spokesman for the Italian company involved.
