Russia denies it has plans to block gas transit to Europe

MOSCOW, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak dismissed Ukraine's claims that Moscow plans to block gas transit to Europe, saying on Wednesday that the assertions are groundless.
