Ascom Network Testing Announces Support for iPhone® with iOS 8 in TEMS™ Investigation

Ascom Network Testing, a leader in broadband mobile network testing technology, today announced TEMS™ Investigation support for iPhones running iOS 8. TEMS Investigation is the industry’s most widely used Radio Access Network (RAN) drive testing tool.

Since September 2013, mobile operators have used TEMS Investigation, the only mobile network testing solution with integrated support for iPhone, to measure network service performance from an iPhone user’s perspective.

By adding support for iOS 8 and its new features, Ascom Network Testing delivers state-of-the-art Customer Experience measurements. “We believe that this solution will continue to provide great benefits for operators, and ultimately greater benefits for iPhone users, by enabling the testing of new network functionality with iPhone and the latest iOS release,” says Kenneth Schönfeldt, VP Test and Measurement, Ascom Network Testing. “Ascom’s integrated iPhone solution enables critical testing of new features from an iPhone user’s point of view,” he adds.

With the latest release supporting iOS 8, Ascom customers can continue to leverage TEMS™ Discovery, Ascom’s network analytics platform, to mine data collected from iPhone TEMS Investigation tests. TEMS Discovery’s management dashboard reporting enables network managers to quickly assess a wide range of quality-of-service metrics.
