Apple, GT Advanced Technologies in agreement on sapphire materials

Apple and GT Advanced Technologies agree to a deal on the wind-down of sapphire materials production by GT, which filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 6. As part of the deal, Apple gets “a mechanism for recovering” the $439 million prepayment made to GT.
