John Viglione of Vertex Inc. Named 2015 Executive Management Award Winner

Vertex Inc., the leading provider of corporate tax solutions, announced today that SmartCEO magazine has named John Viglione, Vertex Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a 2015 Executive Management Award winner. Viglione is one of 40 top executives in Philadelphia to be recognized in SmartCEO’s 2015 Executive Management Awards program.

SmartCEO’s Executive Management Awards program recognizes C-suite executives including CFOs, CIOs and CTOs for their creative management, vision, leadership philosophy, innovative strategy and undeniable work ethic. These executives are individuals who uphold the highest ethics, lead collaboratively and creatively, and enhance and support their organization's mission.

Viglione is a member the Executive Council at Vertex, which is responsible for the collaborative oversight of the company's strategy and operational execution, including existing and emerging software industry partnerships. He is credited with guiding the development of Vertex® Enterprise, a new category of tax software designed for complex global tax requirements. Viglione also volunteers his time at Penn State University, his alma mater, and established a partnership with the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST). As an IST Corporate Associate, Vertex sponsors high-level student teams and has an opportunity to develop long-lasting, strategic partnerships with a college dedicated to educating the next generation of leaders for the digital 21st century.
