The markets traded lower during the midday with the Dow losing 63 points to 18,099 as concerns that Greece may exit the eurozone resurfaced. Nasdaq fell 16 points to 5,090.
On the upside
Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) widened first quarter losses more than expected but the retailer expects sales to improve.
XOMA (Nasdaq: XOMA) announced that a Phase 3 EYEGUARD-B study reached its target exacerbation event.
A jury decided that Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) must pay $100 million to a woman for injuries sustained from the company's Pinnacle and Advantage Fit vaginal-mesh inserts but the stock price rose.
On the downside
Tilly's (NYSE: TLYS) reported higher first quarter earnings and revenue but the company forecast current quarter earnings below estimates.
Semtech (Nasdaq: SMTC) fell to a greater than expected loss for the first quarter and forecast current quarter results that missed estimates.
Xcerra (Nasdaq: XCRA) disappointed by falling to a loss for the third quarter and forecast fourth quarter results below expectations.
In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of nearly 7 to 2 on the NYSE and by nearly 5 to 2 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 lost 5 points to 2117. Bitcoin added $1 to $237.
