There are different people out there doing different things for spreading some moments of happiness around them. The extent of their acts is different but it doesn’t matter as long as they spread joy in one way or another. Dave Diggs, California, is one such person owning his own The Barbers Inc. Barber Shop in Downtown San Jose, who gives free haircuts to the students around, as per the accommodating capacity, choosing one Sunday before the district school starts their new session, every year for past three years. In his bid to continue “Kutz 4 Kids” this year too, he has started a Fundraising Campaign.
Reportedly, Dave started giving free haircuts to the students from 2013 & continued it in 2014. Along with the free haircuts, he also provides them free backpacks to start their new session. He has been doing this without any outside help. As reported, the whole program had been funded by a dedicated team of barbers & also by some loyal customers.
In their first year under this program, they gave free haircuts to 50 students & distributed 50 backpacks. The next year, i.e. in 2014, they accommodated more students & gave free haircuts to 70 more kids & distributed 80 backpacks. They have started this program with a purpose of spreading some joy among the kids, as per their capacities. They have named this unique program of theirs as “Kutz 4 Kids” & have saved these memories of past years in many facebook pictures and a Video shared on Youtube.
With a wish of carrying “Kutz 4 Kids” on in 2015 too, they are planning to expand & they have been aiming at giving at least 100 haircuts & 100 backpacks. This is their way of doing something as per their capabilities in order to share some moments of joy with the kids round them. This year, they are planning to make this program bigger than past couple of years. They are doing their bit but in order to expand the extent of “Kutz 4 Kids” they will need some more financial resources.
Understanding the requirements of additional funds, they have started a fundraising campaign on “Gofundme”. They are expecting to be backed by the people but adamant on making this year’s “Kutz 4 Kids” bigger & better, anyhow.
