Charlotte NC plumbing company ER Plumbing Services supports Charlotte community through dedication to coat donation drive.

David Parker, owner of ER Plumbing Services of Charlotte, has committed his company to serving the Charlotte community this year. The first initiative the company is participating in is WSOC TV’s Steve’s Coats donation drive, an initiative dedicated to providing winter outerwear to the Charlotte community.
“Approximately fifteen percent of Charlotte’s population lives under the poverty line,” Parker says. “We see it as our mission to help out as many of those folks as we can.”
The drive is successful only if coats are donated. Parker’s company is supporting airtime for the Ronald McDonald house through WSOC TV, which will get the word out to the community that winter coat donations are needed. The public service commercials will let people know where to drop off coats and how they can get involved, spurring on more members of the community to imitate what Parker’s crew already does: devoting time, energy and resources to giving back to the people of Charlotte.
“We’ve been blessed by the Charlotte community,” says Parker. “We’ve worked hard to serve the Charlotte community, and our customers have been loyal to us. They refer us to friends and family. They treat our technicians with dignity and respect. They have made it possible for our company to grow.”

The Steve’s Coats for Kids donation drive commences January 2 2016 and ends on January 15 2016. Coats are collected by various community partners and distributed by Crisis Assistance Ministry. Over the past decade, approximately 100,000 (that’s 10,000 a year) coats have been distributed to families in need in the Charlotte area through this campaign. ER Plumbing Services hopes to play a part in increasing the number of coats donated to the cause this year. Coats must be in good condition.
