Company Update (NASDAQ:AAPL): Facebook starts supporting Apple’s ‘Live Photos’

Facebook is slowly rolling out the the ability to upload and view Apple’s Live Photos on the Facebook iOS app. Apple debuted Live Photos earlier this year with the rollout of the iPhone 6s. Looking at today’s trading action, the company’s one day range from $107.20 to $108.85 with its 52-week range being $92.00 to $134.54. AAPL shares are currently priced at 11.01x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them relatively expensive compared to the industry’s 8.24x earnings multiple for the same period. And for income investors, the company pays shareholders $2.08 per share annually in dividends, yielding 1.94%. Consensus earnings for the current quarter by the 40 sell-side analysts covering the stock is an estimate of $3.25 per share, which would be $0.19 better than the year-ago quarter and a $0.07 sequential increase. Furthermore, our analysis shows the full-year EPS estimate to be $9.74, which would be a $0.52 better when compared to the last year’s annual results.
