Dillard’s, Inc. Reports May Sales Results

Dillard’s, Inc. (NYSE: DDS) (“Dillard’s” or the “Company”) announced today that merchandise sales (“sales”) for the four weeks ended May 28, 2011 were $434,700,000 compared to sales for the four weeks ended May 29, 2010 of $426,490,000. Sales increased 2% on both a total and comparable store basis for the four weeks ended May 28, 2011.

Sales for the seventeen weeks ended May 28, 2011 were $1,895,540,000 compared to sales for the seventeen weeks ended May 29, 2010 of $1,858,872,000. Sales increased 2% on both a total and comparable store basis for the seventeen weeks ended May 28, 2011.

During the four weeks ended May 28, 2011, sales were in line with the average total Company trend in the Central and Eastern regions and below trend in the Western region. Sales in the home and furniture category were significantly below trend during the four-week period ended May 28, 2011.
