National Grid PLC (NYSE: NGG ) posted a drop in its first-half pretax profit. National Grid's pretax profit for the period declined 11% to 1.05 billion pounds ($1.69 billion), while revenue rose to GBP6.72 billion from GBP6.07 billion.
