Fort Worth-based Peloton Land Solutions Announces Incorporation

Peloton Land Solutions, LP, a consulting firm providing land development and energy service expertise to clients across the country, announced that as of April 1 they have incorporated to become Peloton Land Solutions, Inc. Since being founded in January 2010 by partners Aric Head, AICP, Richard Payne, P.E. and Pat Smith, P.E., Peloton has grown an average of 28 percent annually. The company has expanded from one office in the Fort Worth area to three locations with additional offices in Frisco and Austin.

“Since 2010 we have grown exponentially beginning with a handful of employees to now nearly 80 team members in three office locations,” said Peloton President and CEO Aric Head. “The decision to incorporate will provide our company with a structure that will allow us to sustain our growth and meet our long term goals, ultimately allowing us to better meet our clients’ needs.”

Peloton will form a five member board of directors including co-founders Head, Payne and Smith, as well as two yet-to-be-named directors. In addition to their service on the board, Head has been named president and chief executive officer, Payne will serve as chairman of the board and chief operating officer, and Smith will serve as secretary and chief financial officer.

Frisco Office

Early on, Peloton identified the Dallas market as an expansion priority and as such opened an office in Frisco in the second quarter of 2013 to better serve this booming area of the metroplex. Consistent with its headquarters, this office was established to provide planning, engineering, survey, and environmental services for all types of developments including single family, multi-family, infrastructure, oil and gas, and public improvement districts, to name a few. This office boasts a number of ongoing projects with noteworthy clients such as Centurion American Development, the city of Frisco, and LGI Homes.

This office currently houses 12 employees and expects to grow to 15-20 by the end of 2014.

Austin Office

Following the opening of the Frisco office, Peloton expanded into the Austin-area last July to tap into one of the top metro areas in job and population growth. They have already out-grown their original office space and are moving this summer to accommodate future growth. With clients such as Brookfield Residential, Sunrise Development and Marlin Atlantis, the Austin office’s primary focus is to provide land development consulting services for private sector clients. They offer entitlement services, engineering design, permitting, and construction phase services for single family, multi-family, commercial, retail, and industrial projects.

While this office’s initial focus is on the civil engineering aspects of current projects, plans for growth include the addition of surveying, environmental, and public works services. Given the anticipated economic boom in Central Texas, they are projecting to have more than 15 employees at this location by the end of 2014, with the potential to reach 25 by the end of 2015.
