PCTEL Appoints Shelley Bacastow as Vice President and General Counsel

PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leader in performance critical telecom solutions, announced the appointment of Shelley Bacastow to Vice President and General Counsel. Mrs. Bacastow succeeds Varda Goldman, whose transition was announced on December 15 in a previous release. Bacastow has been serving as PCTEL’s Assistant General Counsel. Her promotion is effective January 1, 2015.

“We have planned this transition over the past two years,” said Marty Singer, PCTEL’s Chairman and CEO. “Shelley has been crucial in managing all of our securities, corporate governance, and compensation issues. She has also negotiated and crafted several key agreements including major asset acquisitions and OEM contracts. She worked directly with our outside counsel and with Varda Goldman throughout her 11 year career with the company. We are fortunate to have someone with Shelley’s experience, qualifications, and background with PCTEL to succeed Varda,” added Singer.

Mrs. Bacastow graduated from University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.A. in Political Science and from Notre Dame Law School. She spent 11 years at Chapman and Cutler, one year at MCI Telecommunications, Inc., and 6 years at Motorola, Inc., where she supported the Cellular Infrastructure Group and was head of the Global Finance Group. Mrs. Bacastow has strong experience in finance, commercial transactions, and securities law.
