Elaine Bedel Has Been Recognized Among the Top in Her Industry by the Expert Network©

"It was one of those opportunities that was presented to me by the bank I was working for. At the time, they wanted to explore the area of financial planning.  It was a popular topic among banks and even CPA firms at the time. And the bank asked me to move into the trust division to start a financial planning practice. I was in corporate banking at the time. At that point in time, I was looking for another challenge, so when that opportunity presented itself, I took it."

Bedel is the CEO, founder, and owner of Bedel Financial Consulting, Inc. As a leader in her industry, Bedel has amassed a wide-ranging series of honors in the last few years, including the 2013 Heart of Financial Planning award, designation as one of the Top 25 Woman-Owned RIAs in the country, and induction into the Junior Achievement of Central Indiana’s Business Hall of Fame.  She is also a recipient of the Enterprising Women of the Year Award, NAWBO’s Trailblazer Award, Indiana Commission for Women’s Torchbearer Award, and named one of Indianapolis’s Top Financial Planning Firms.At this time, Bedel shows no signs of slowing down.  

At this time, her firm continues to diversify and pursue even better methods of helping their clients live a life with confidence and clarity regarding their financial situation. She noted:

Bedel has served her profession as chair of the CFP Board of Standards; chair of the international Financial Planning Standards Board; and chair of the national Foundation for Financial Planning. Beyond her inspiring work in the realm of finance, Bedel has developed a robust spread of philanthropic work. She currently chairs the Women's Fund of Central Indiana and the Goodwill Foundation; is vice chair on the Board of Trustees of her alma matter, Hanover College; and also sits on the board of The Indiana Landmarks, an organization that focuses on historic preservation throughout her native state.
