Wallace R. Nichols Has Been Recognized Among the Top in His Industry by the Expert Network©

​​​​​​Wallace R. Nichols​​​​, President, W.R. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas and an M.B.A. from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

With over 20 years dedicated to law, Nichols​​​​ brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular to his many areas of specialization, including Personal Injury law, Estate Planning, VA Pension Planning, and Elder Law. When asked what inspired him to go into law, Nichols said:

"I decided to become a lawyer when I was about nine years old. That year, 1968, was a horrifically bloody year in the United States and abroad...Clearly, the world needed change and the best way to fight for those who couldn’t fight for themselves was to effectuate that change through the legal system. That’s when I decided I wanted to become a lawyer."

As a thought-leader in his industry, Nichols' expertise extends far beyond his law practice. In 2011 Nichols founded the financial planning firm Asset Guidance Group, LLC in Atlanta, GA, where he advises clients on a wide range of financial issues, including insurance, retirement funds, and investment portfolios. All of these are accomplished within appropriate parameters of asset protection. Along with his law practice, this complements his professional goal of helping his clients see their financial affairs and legal issues as part of a bigger picture. He noted:

"I am running a boutique office currently focused on the trends of Baby Boomers turning sixty-five years of age at the rate exceeding 9,000 per day and the social ramifications caused by that demographic. Specifically, I am focusing on customized strategic decumulation strategies to employ with the goal of helping boomers not outlive their money. Longevity driven by rapidly advancing technology is a new pressing challenge of our age."

Mr. Nichols is a Member of the WealthCounsel®, ElderCounsel®, NAELA (National Association of Elder Law Attorneys), the Academy of VA Pension Planners, the American Association for Justice, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Atlanta Bar Association, DeKalb County Bar Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Nichols was also recently named to a panel for National Business Institute to teach a video seminar on Medicaid Trust Planning and Professional Ethics involved.
