Earnings more than double to Children's Place

Fourth quarter earnings more than doubled for The Children's Place Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCE) to $1.86 per diluted share from 87 cents per diluted share in the year ago period to beat analyst expectations and the company doubled its quarterly dividend. Shares of the children's specialty apparel retailer leaped $18.25 to close at $118.15.
