Ecologic Brands Welcomes CEO Ira Maroofian

Ecologic Brands (“Ecologic”), an award-winning designer & manufacturer of paper bottles, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chief Executive Officer, Ira J. Maroofian.

Widely recognized as a leader in the packaging industry for managing fast-growth companies, Ira will focus on scaling operations and accelerating the growth of Ecologic Brands.

Julie Corbett, Founder of Ecologic, welcomes the new addition. “Consumers are becoming increasingly conscious of the environmental impact associated with packaging waste, and there is a shift in demand for alternatives beyond plastic bottles. Ecologic must act aggressively to capture a growing share of this market. Ira’s leadership and track record of delivering business growth through both strategy and execution complements Ecologic’s readiness to scale. I look forward to working with Ira in delivering brands and consumers with more paper bottles.”

Ira brings over 30 years of leadership in manufacturing industries, including over 15 years of success in the packaging industry. Most recently, he was the Managing Director of Seda North America, Inc. where he helped establish and grow the US operation of a global packaging company. Prior to joining Seda, he was president and COO of PWP Industries (“PWP”), which was acquired by Pactiv in 2010. As President of PWP, Ira led growth from $1.5 million to $143 million in revenue, as well as the build of three Greenfield manufacturing plants. After the acquisition of PWP, he continued as Vice President of Pactiv to assist with post-merger integration. Ira has a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
